Certified Phlebotomy Technician –CPT
Program Duration: two (2) days
Phlebotomy is the practice of drawing blood. Nowadays, it is primarily performed for the purpose of diagnosing and monitoring a patient's condition. A PT is someone who also has the ability to perform other types of specimen collection, such as: urine collection, mouth swabs, etc. They are employed in hospitals, clinics, private practices, diagnostic laboratories and blood banks. Our PT program is only two days long.

Health Care Structure; Occupational Safety; Infection Control.
Medical Terminology; Human Anatomy and Physiology; Circulatory, Lymphatic, and Immune Systems
Venipuncture Equipment, Routine Venipuncture and Venipuncture Complications; Dermal Puncture; Blood Collection in Special Populations; Special Collections and Procedures; Special Nonblood Collection Procedures.
Order of draw and tube selection and labeling.
Specimen Handling & Point-of-Care Testing
Specimen Transport; Specimen Handling and Transport.
