The Introduction to Medical Terminology course covers medical terminology, symbols and abbreviations, and the application of this new language in the field of health care. It provides a basic overview of terminology for those pursuing Careers in the Allied Health field. Covers the body system i.e. Skeletal System, Muscular System, Nervous, Endocrine, Digestive, Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Urinary, Reproductive, Immune systems as well as multitude of Medical terms addressing test, diseases and diagnoses.
Audience: The target audience for the Introduction to Medical Terminology course includes incumbent health care workers who need a refresher course on medical terminology.

Certification: Please note that this course does not lead to a student’s certification, but prepares the student to sit for the certification exam.
