Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED In Class

First Aid and CPR AED

Students will learn CPR, AED and First aid basics, managing Medical emergencies, injury emergencies, Environmental emergencies.

During the course, the Instructor conducts video-based lessons and works with students to complete their first aid, CPR and AED skills practice and testing. Classroom-based utilizing video with hands-on training format reinforces skills proficiency

• Optional modules in child CPR and AED use and infant CPR and optional written test

Course format:

• Course manual is required throughout the session ( manual with a new Heartsaver First Aid Quick Reference Guide) that summarizes first aid actions for many injuries and illnesses.

Certification:

Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.

Heartsaver First Aid In Class

First Aid CPR

This course is designed according to the 2010 AHA guidelines for CPR and ECC. Students will learn First aid basics, Medical emergency management, injury emergencies, and Environmental emergencies.

Throughout the course, the Instructor will lead video-based lessons and work with students to complete their first aid, skills practice, and testing. The classroom-based format will include hands-on training to reinforce skills proficiency. 

Materials:

Students will be provided with a manual which contains a new Heartsaver First Aid Quick Reference Guide summarizing first aid actions for many injuries and illnesses.

Certification:

Students who successfully complete this course will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid Course Completion Card (valid for two years).

Heartsaver CPR/AED In Class

CPR and AED

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. It will be presented as a video based lesson, complemented by hands-on practice guided by the instructor delivering CPR and AED skills.

This course contains the following:

Adult CPR and AED use, optional modules in child CPR and AED use and infant CPR, including child and infant choking and an optional written test.

The option to take Part 1 online is available for additional cost, the advantage here is that the class time will be much shorter.

Certification:

Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.

Instructor Course - BLS

CPR instructor certification course

The Instructor course is required to teach CPR and prepares all AHA instructors, regional, national, and Training Center Faculty.

This course contains modules which teach professionalism, course and session preparation, instructional strategies, assessment and evaluation, as well as other important aspects of delivery and management of a classroom/workshop.

The Part 1 course is taught through self-directed online format, self-directed learning through the OKM online system, followed by hands-on skills training in a classroom setting.

Certification:

Students who complete the course successfully will earn a Certificate of Completion.

Eligibility:

Instructor candidates must align with an AHA Training Center accepting new Instructors after completing Part1 and Part 2, then register on the faculty network to be provided an authorized code to purchase course materials and have access to the vast resources provided by AHA.

CEU:

The maximum number of hours awarded for this CE activity is 7.50 contact hours.

The material required for this course is Instructor Essentials Course Package which must be purchased and may be included in the course fee.
